Osprey Accounting Services provides a variety of services, but we focus mostly on tax services for businesses, individuals, and non-profit organizations. The additional services include bookkeeping, consulting, and assisting new businesses in selecting and adopting an organizational structure and accounting processes and systems. Osprey serves clients in a wide variety of industries, including construction, restaurants, real estate, professional services, and many others.Founder and President
Bryan Lichau has been a CPA since January 2001. He started working in public accounting in 1997 at a CPA firm in Roseville, CA. It was there that he discovered a love for working with businesses and individuals, and the importance of establishing a strong relationship and trust as a foundation. After 7 years in public accounting, Bryan decided to go explore the private sector. That exploration included 3 years as CFO for a successful Jamba Juice franchise and CFO of a construction company. After moving with his family to Western Washington, Bryan accepted a position with CBRE, the largest commercial real estate company in the world. The position was an Assistant Controller on an account that managed the real estate functions of a large Washington health care provider. After two years on this account, Bryan accepted a position as Senior Finance Manager on the leadership team for a new account within CBRE. In total, Bryan worked in various other roles within CBRE for a total of nearly 10 years. After three years in the Senior Finance Manager role, he worked in CBRE’s internal project management group, managing new client implementations/transitions all over the country. This gave him the opportunity to work with Fortune 500 clients, rolling out software and IT solutions that helped CBRE provide its services to clients.
In late 2016, Bryan and his wife decided to pursue a long-time dream of business ownership, and Osprey Accounting Services was born shortly thereafter.
Community
One of Bryan’s biggest sources of motivation is to be involved in the community. Besides helping small businesses get started, Bryan is heavily involved in youth sports – basketball in particular. He has been an assistant basketball coach at Peninsula High School since 2013 and has coached youth sports throughout his sons’ youth careers. Bryan and Missy enjoy being a part of the Gig Harbor community and contributing wherever they can. Missy is a school counselor in the Peninsula School District, so working with our youth is very important to both of them.Bryan also teaches accounting classes for the University of Phoenix. This helps him to not only contribute to future accountants and CPAs, but also to stay up on current trends in the everchanging accounting and tax world.
